We’re seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Marketplace Lead to own and scale our business across major U.S. online marketplaces — including Amazon, Walmart, Target+, and Zappos. You’ll be responsible for shaping and executing marketplace strategy, driving sales growth, optimizing operations, and leading cross-functional efforts across content, advertising, logistics, and product expansion.

This is a senior individual contributor or manager-level role for someone with 4+ years of experience who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the nuances of marketplace algorithms and ad platforms, and is comfortable making data-backed decisions. You’ll report to the Director of eCommerce and work closely with leadership to set and hit revenue and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead marketplace strategy and performance across Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Target+, Zappos, and other relevant channels

  • Manage a team or collaborate closely with specialists, freelancers, or agencies to execute listings, ad campaigns, and catalog growth

  • Own the end-to-end operations for Amazon FBA, including forecasting, inventory health, compliance, and case resolution

  • Develop and execute advertising strategy across Amazon Advertising (SP, SB, SD) and other platforms to drive efficient growth

  • Oversee content optimization: product pages, A+ content, keyword strategy, and image assets — with a focus on conversion and SEO

  • Lead new product launches, channel expansions, and promotional calendar planning

  • Analyze and report on marketplace KPIs (traffic, sales, ACOS, Buy Box %, return rates, contribution margin, etc.)

  • Partner with creative, finance, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution across all initiatives

  • Stay current with marketplace trends, algorithm updates, and compliance changes — and turn them into proactive action

  • Build business cases for new channel investments, product expansions, or tools/technology that improve marketplace outcomes

What Success Looks Like:

  • Strong year-over-year revenue and profitability growth across U.S. marketplaces

  • Improved ad efficiency, product ranking, and conversion rates

  • Operational excellence in inventory, fulfillment, and listing compliance

  • Scalable internal processes and marketplace playbooks that support growth

  • Clear cross-functional alignment and consistent, high-impact reporting to leadership

  • Agile response to algorithm shifts, seasonal cycles, and category trends

Requirements:

  • 4+ years managing U.S.-based eCommerce marketplaces, with a deep focus on Amazon Seller Central and/or Walmart Marketplace

  • Proven success with FBA operations, ad campaigns, and listing strategy

  • Strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term planning

  • Proficient with SEO, Amazon Advertising, and third-party tools (e.g., Helium 10, Brand Analytics, Jungle Scout)

  • Data-driven decision maker, comfortable working with Excel/Sheets and BI dashboards

  • Exceptional project management and communication skills — able to drive alignment and accountability across teams

  • Self-starter with a bias for action, ownership mindset, and ability to operate independently in a remote setting

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience scaling marketplace operations across multiple channels (Amazon, Walmart, Target+, Zappos, etc.)

  • Background in digital advertising or eCommerce merchandising strategy

  • Experience managing large catalogs (100+ SKUs), multiple brands, or DTC/omnichannel retail
