Shoes For Crews North America, LLC (SFC) is a dynamic designer, manufacturer and business-to-business marketer of the most technologically advanced, top-rated slip-resistant footwear for the foodservice, hospitality, industrial, and healthcare workplaces. SFC protects over 3.5 million workers per year in over 120,000 workplaces from slip and fall accidents. For over 30 years, the Company has built its reputation through innovative product development technologies, proprietary manufacturing, and distinct niche marketing.
Shoes For Crews (SFC) is seeking an experienced Creative Manager to join our team. The candidate will be the creative champion for SFC, guiding the creative to build a unified experience across all touch points, including digital and traditional. The Creative Manager will create the look, feel, and messaging that takes our B2B, B2B2C, and DTC target customers on an emotional buyers’ journey through orchestrated visualization and storytelling. This person will proactively develop creative strategies driven by SFC’s goals and vision that result in brand awareness, consideration, engagement, and loyalty. Additionally, this person will be responsible for our multi-brand architecture.
The ideal candidate will have creative vision, concepting ability, and an exceptional attention to detail. The Creative Manager will work with internal staff and external partners to take concepts to full execution and has the ability to mentor other designers to grow their skills. The Creative Manager will also work cross-functionally with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and Product Teams. This team player will maintain project budgets and timely results of deliverables to deliver relevant creative assets that help drive sales and build the SFC brand.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Oversee the brand guidelines, application, adherence, and overall creative direction of the company and key business segments
- Assist in developing and formalizing an overarching brand strategy, architecture and identity for a portfolio of related brands. Ensure brand consistency, cohesion, and authenticity across all channels
- Own omni-channel creative storytelling from concept to execution. Develop integrated marketing campaigns that bring brands to life, resonating with our target customers, and delivering our business objectives
- Provide clear and compelling creative direction, oversee the creation and execution for all marketing assets supporting a wide spectrum of digital and traditional media, website, packaging, tradeshows, and physical stores
- Build and lead internal staff and external partners that include creative designers, photographers, videographers, and writers who develop various forms of digital marketing, email design, website creative, print and direct mail, visual (photography, video, editing, motion graphics, 3D creation); product, packaging, in-store creative, and copywriting
- Plan and direct photo shoots, studio shoots, and photo renderings
- Oversee video concepting, development and distribution
- Inspire the Creative Team to create distinctive designs and experiences that project SFC’s competitive advantage and engage prospects, B2B customers, and consumers in new and unique ways
- Interpret insights into successful strategic messaging that delights the customers and consumers and grows B2B accounts and consumer engagement
- Work with the team to deliver best-in-class copy and design for exceptionally-branded customer and consumer experiences for all SFC’s global businesses
- Interact with and manage external agencies and freelancers as needed
- Leverage creative and production resources to activate when needed (agencies, freelancers, etc.)
- Be an advocate for your team, helping the organization see the power of creative as a business driver
- Drive creative automation and templates; oversee a digital asset management platform and Canva
- Manage creative roadmap and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and deliver quality work under tight deadlines
- Use data gathered from key stakeholders, insights, and analytics to impact design thinking and solutions
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- 7+ years experience in marketing and/or advertising design, creative, or related field
- Experience with both B2B and DTC segments; must have experience with retail, CPG, or manufacturing; experience in footwear/apparel highly desired
- Minimum 3-years experience building, leading, and developing a team, including designers, copywriter, photographers, and videographers at all experience levels
- Proven track record of creating brand-defining and business-driven work across various channels, including digital, print & packaging, mobile-first web, video and photography
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to get the heart of why a creative idea is relevant
- Solid experience with concepting and launching videos to build a brand and engage customers
- Experience setting team priorities, solving problems, multi-tasking and working within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Familiarity with a variety of software platforms, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva, among others; affinity for technology and digital applications
- Experience leveraging technology, particularly a digital asset management platform
- Strategic mindset that is goal-oriented and resourceful
- Team-oriented management style based on coaching, mentorship and collaboration
- Strong organizational acumen with the ability to quickly pivot and learn how to get things done
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or Management
- 7+ years of experience in a related field and/or position
